COUNSELING

As a psychotherapist and a pastoral counselor, I bring together a diverse set of skills and experience in helping individuals, couples and families, as well as organization and communities,  respond to the reality of death and loss.

My training is very eclectic: I received my doctorate in Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies which emphasized transpersonal and spiritual approaches to counseling and psychotherapy. Over the years I have augmented my original studies, training at different times in Psychosynthesis and guided imagery; Jungian dreamwork; Gestalt psychology; Re-evaluation Counseling; Spiritual Direction; Mindfulness Meditation (with Stephen Levine, Rina Sircar and other teachers); Sacred Psychology and mythic journey work with Dr. Jean Houston; Past Life Therapy with both Dr. Brian Weiss and Dr. Roger Woolger; as well as in Kabbalah and Jewish spirituality.

Above all, I work with people rather than with any one particular approach.
