Grief is a natural response to the death of a loved one, as one slowly adjusts to loss and learns to accept the reality of death. But bereavement can be an intense emotional roller coaster ride of emotions, physical ailments, and withdrawal from social interaction. It is important for those “walking the mourner’s path” to know these painful reactions are a normal part of the healing process. My work as a grief therapist is to walk with people through “the valley of the shadow of death” as mourning is transformed into making a life of meaning, and longing for a loved transformed into honoring the legacy a person has left behind. For information of grief counseling sessions, in my Philadelphia area office, or via phone or Skype contact me at 215.432.1211, or by email at email@example.com.
