DA’AT INSTITUTE FOR DEATH AWARENESS, ADVOCACY AND TRAINING

DA’AT INSTITUTE for Death Awareness, Advocacy and Training is dedicated to advancing Jewish perspectives on death, dying and grief for individuals, families, and communities. The activities of the DA’AT INSTITUTE include: innovative programs of death awareness education;  professional development training; bereavement counseling and hospice support; and the creation of both printed and audio-visual resources to help individuals and families in responding to the human encounter with death.

DA’AT is a Hebrew word meaning “knowledge”. All programs and activities of the DA’AT INSTITUTE are uniquely designed to provide knowledge and educational resources to help people find comfort and spiritual meaning in the face of death and loss.
